Once connected to Webchat, the first text you enter will be your nickname. As Webchat
is a popular chat network many nicknames have already been registered by other users. After
choosing a nickname, if you are sent a message by NickServ requesting a password, select another
nick by typing /nick followed by your new nickname, then pressing the Return key.
Mozilla/Firefox users will need Java enabled and/or a plugin
installed to be able to chat from here. Internet Explorer users however should be able to start
chatting straight away. For a full explanation about using the Java applet, please
click here if you haven't already.
Otherwise, connection to Webchat is also passable using seperate IRC chat clients such as
mIRC.
